Warts are the result of infection caused by the Human Papilloma Virus that can be unsightly and painful to walk on. They are usually small hard bumps that often have black dots in them.
Warts on your feet can also present as hard, raised lumps with rough surfaces anywhere on the body. Commonly warts are misdiagnosed as corns and therefore should be properly diagnosed by a podiatrist. Warts are contagious and are often transmitted from indirect contact with virally infected tissue (communal showers or swimming pools are common areas).
Our Podiatrists use a regime of non-evasive treatments using a chemical (silver nitrate) to
eliminating the infection.
